Ce Plan de Paris, commencé l’année 1734, a été dressé sous les ordres de Michel Étienne Turgot, prévôt des marchands de la capitale. Sa gravure achevée en 1739 nous livre sans doute le plus beau plan de Paris de l’avant-Révolution, le dernier conçu "à vue d’oiseau". Il contient les 20 planches levées et dessinées par Louis Bretez, gravées par Claude Lucas et écrites par Aubin, et un plan d’ensemble. 
 
This Plan of Paris, begun in 1734, was drawn up under the orders of Michel Étienne Turgot, provost of the merchants of the capital. His engraving, completed in 1739, gives us without doubt the most beautiful plan of Paris before the Revolution, the last designed "from a bird's eye view". It contains the 20 plates surveyed and drawn by Louis Bretez, engraved by Claude Lucas and written by Aubin, and an overall plan.  (TEXT IS IN FRENCH ONLY)
