Book condition:  Used - Near Fine. Free of inscriptions. Age toned.  Few pages have foxing.

Cover:  Near Fine (Good). Some wear and some staining to front and back cover.  Slightly bumped corners, general wear, rubbed extremities.  Spine is slightly tilted.(PLEASE SEE IMAGES).   Age toning to the boards. Firmly bound.

 

A rare copy of this charming children's book of flowers. A lovely flower story written and illustrated by Walter Crane. The text is accompanied by forty colour illustrations showing the masque of flowers.  Walter Crane is considered to be one of the most influential children's book writers of his generation. He contributed to the child's nursery motif of the late 19th century. This edition includes Cassell's publisher's adverts with a detailed list of other publications. In the original pictorial boards.
